Email studio@capersphoto.com with any questions you may have. 8/14 favorite sports/band shirt day 8/15 hat day 8/16 mix-match day 8/17 section color day 8/20 section theme day 8/21 twin day 8/22 school spirit day Mr. Katona and the staff are very excited for this years show, “LAND OF THE FREE” The band and colorguard has been working hard and we are all looking forward to another award winning year!! We are still in need of parents capable of towing the uniform trailer and the podium trailer. The uniforms and podiums are both essential in order for the students to perform. Bagging Sunday, July 29th – ALL SLOTS are now FULL ! Thank you for your help!! If interested in bagging, please see the fundraising page on the band website for additional dates! Please remember, everyone is required to bag and you must meet the bagging requirements in order to be eligible for a varsity letter. NO EXCEPTIONS! Just a reminder that the band parents organization is raffling off an iPad! Tickets are only $5 and you can either email fundraising@libertylionband.com or Ellen Needham will be selling them Wednesday night at practice drop off, 6pm! The winning ticket will be pulled at the August band parent meeting. NEW BAGGING date!! Sunday, July 29th Sunday, July 29th is the next scheduled Stop and Shop bagging date! Each band member is asked to bag a total of 4 hours each year! (Note that the 4 hours can be split by bagging 2 hours on two separate bagging dates.) Time Slots available are 10am-12noon and 12noon-2pm, 2-4pm, 4-6pm. Please email bagging@libertylionband.com to secure your slot! **** Adult chaperones for EACH time slot are also needed! Please let us know if you can help by staying at Stop and Shop with your child to help chaperone! We only need one chaperone per time slot! Just a side note, bagging is part of recieving a Varsity Letter. If you do not meet the bagging requirments, you will not recieve a varsity letter. Lastly, Mr. Katona and Mr. Carattini are still looking for any one who has video of the Washington DC parade. JTV as well as other news casts are looking for something to post ASAP!!! Any pictures would be helpful as well! We have noticed that not everyone’s grey marching shoes are returned from Memorial Day to their garment bag. We are in the process of paking up everyones uniform for Washington and we cannot do so until everyones shoes have been returned. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE return your grey marching shoes to your garment bag when you come back for the send off ceremony tomorrow. If we do not have your shoes and your uniform gets packed, you will not be able to perform in Washington. Thanks for your help. Just a reminder that this Tuesday, at 7pm in the Jackson Liberty High School Auditorium, the band will be hosting a “Send Off” Ceremony in preparation for their acceptance into the National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC. Students are to report at 6:30. Please spread the wonderful news and invite family and friends to this celebration. Any forms not returned from last week’s meeting can be returned on Tuesday night before the ceremony. See you all then!!! Thanks to everyone who attended last night’s meeting. Any forms not returned last night must be returned before the “Send Off” ceremony next Tuesday. Someone will be at the booth in front of the auditorium as early as 6pm to collect any forms then. Next Tuesday is the big “Send Off” ceremony beginning at 7pm. Clink on this link to see a full story. http://www.jacksonsd.org/ Students are to report to the ”Send Off” ceremony at 6:30 next Tuesday. Boys are to wear black pants and white shirts, ladies are to wear all black or black and white, percussionist wear all black. A reminder about Monday, July 2nd. All students going on the trip need to bring their luggage with luggage tag attached to the band room between 5pm-6pm. All luggage needs to be unlocked. Board of Education policy states that any school approved overnight trip is subject to baggage search by Jackson Security and Jackson Police Department. If you need to make arrangments for someone to drop off students luggage please do so. Any students luggage not dropped off that night will not be able to attend the trip. After the search, the luggage will remain locked in the band room overnight. Everyone attending the trip will meet at 6am at Jackson Liberty on July 3rd. All luggage and instruments need to be loaded by 6:30am as well as bus attendance taken in order to stick to our itinerary and arrive in Washington DC on time.
